Curator Elena Chimonas statement:

I was looking for unusual and attention-grabbing images for the animal portraits exhibition.

A few photographs had a great depth of field or intriguing colours, others were just cleverly taken at obscure angles.

The most striking 10 images were chosen for the physical exhibition with 25 chosen for the digital exhibition.

I have chosen a mixture of close up and long range portraits as well as colourful and monochrome images.

All photographs will be displayed in Camden Image Gallery's large room downstairs, which has a fantastic shape, a long trapezium, which works wonderfully for projecting images on the back wall.

Printed photographs will be on display as you first walk into the room with the lights on and further down in the room digital photos will be displayed on the screen..

Photographers whose works are getting print exhibited can then to keep the framed print that is on show.

Animal Portraits Exhibition will run from June 10th Until June 16th at Camden Image Gallery, 174 Royal College Street, Camden, NW1 0SP.

Below are the 10 images which are chosen for Physical Exhibition in the Gallery.

I guess they will project these images onto the wall in a dark room or show them on a good size plasma screen. I never visited Camden Image Gallery so I will definitely go and experience during the private view!!

Congrats to the winners! How will the digital images be displayed at the gallery? Will they be rotating on a plasma screen?
