Ankit Agrawal is a Delhi based 'occasional' writer and photographer with interest in development, human rights, people’s movement, arts and culture, literature and politics. He has a BA (Hons.) in Political Science and a Post Graduate Diploma in Conflict Management and Development from the Banaras Hindu University in Banaras, followed by a Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism from the Asian College of Journalism, Madras. He also learns Dhrupad under Ustad Faiyaz Wasifuddin Dagar, a 20th generation singer of illustrious Dagar family and a direct dependent of Baba Haridas Dagar, Tansen's teacher. His works have appeared in prestigious publications like BBC, The Hindu, Hindustan Times, Mint, The Wall Street Journal, Nandan, Tehelka and Fountain Ink. He was invited to participate in the Seventh Assembly of World Youth Movement for Democracy at Lima, Peru in October 2012.
